1. No mosquitoes: Santa Cruz del Islote is only used for residence. All other activities, from working to entertainment, even burying dead people, are carried out by the residents in neighboring islands. According to the legend, once upon a time, some fishermen living in the San Bernardo Islands went to the sea and missed the appropriate time to return, so they had to visit Santa Cruz del Islote. Strangely, even though they slept overnight outside, there were no mosquitoes. So they decided to stay. Indeed, Santa Cruz del Islote made up of protruding seabed and corals.
