3. Jaws (1975) Jaws is one of those rare horror films that does not rely on special effects but still makes the audience enjoy the thrill. Although the budget for Jaws was not low and director Steven Spielberg used three shark models, but electronic problems and maintenance incidents caused the money to run out. Many shark screens in the movie were actually made of short photographs of shark fins that rise from the water to save costs. Unexpectedly, the suddenly appearing and disappearing fins are much more frightening than the whole shark.
