Best Travel Destinations in Pakistan Part-2

Hunza:

Hunza valley is in the North of Pakistan in the territory of Gilgit Baltistan. It is found in the lap of the Karakoram Mountains. The roads of Hunza are as clean and plain as a crystal glass. The people of Hunza are very modern and secular. Hunza is a colorful valley consist of stunning and enchanting villages. There is so much to see in Hunza. You will find apricots, apples, and orchards in abundance. Moreover, the world’s largest glaciers, meadows, snow-capped mountains, and wooden bridges. Do not miss visiting Hussaini Bridge; which is an old very long wooden bridge but be careful in crossing that because it can get very dangerous if the winds gain speed. The very old Altit Baltit forts are the historic forts in Hunza. You must ask your guide to narrate you the story of Altit and Baltit because it is an Oscar-winning story. The coffee shop outside the fort area makes majestic coffee. When waiting for coffee, it is very much recommended to witness the landscapes from there. Eagle-Nest is the best place to spend the night. You can enjoy the warmth of Bonn fire and luxurious amenities are also found there, but this is not all about Eagle-Nest. You have to stay there to wake up early in the morning and witness the sunrise at one of the peaks of the Karakoram changing its color during sunrise. Karimabad is the main commercial hub of Hunza. You can do the shopping and eating here. The handicrafts of Hunza will tempt you to buy them and indeed you will buy them.

Naltar Valley, Gilgit:

Naltar is the least explored valley of all and its beauty is even more because of the least movement of people here. It is very close to nature. It is approximately at the drive of 2 hours from Gilgit city. This remote valley has snowcapped peaks, expansive forests, lakes, and captivating landscapes. In the winter season, Naltar valley becomes the best place for skiing. The Pakistan Air Force organizes ski competition here in winter to attract thousands of skiers from around the world. The fascinating Bashri Lakes are a treat to witness natural dirt trails and glacial streams around them. You can hire a jeep and travel to the Pari Lake and Alpine lake where you can boat and have a barbecue.

Lahore:

The city of Lahore is full of fun and buzz. It is a historical city and keeps a special place in the making of Pakistan. The Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore is a place where the resolution of Pakistan took place. Lahore has everything that is found in any modern city in the world. It has theme parks, clubs, shopping malls, business, food, and endless options. It is a city of over 11 million people. The Androon Lahore (Old Lahore) is my favorite place. It is an old city and old buildings and architecture there are spellbinding. The walled city of Lahore is a beautiful monument from the Mughal rule era. The Badshahi Mosque and at least fifty plus historic sites are there to explore. One thing is for sure, the choice of food is as much and as delicious that you would yearn to eat everything but you cannot do that because of a vast variety of foods. You have to stay at least a month to eat all the food.

The old city of Lahore is known for an array of tourist spots and activities, such as historical sites, shopping places, and foods. For foodies, Lahore has endless options, but at the famous Food Street on MM Alam Road, you’ll get to taste all the famous cuisines in one place.

Gojal Valley:

Gojal valley borders China’s province Xinjiang. It is home to enthralling lakes, glaciers, scenic villages, and rugged mountains. It is almost the end of Pakistan. The best time to travel here is between May to September.

Peshawar:

The history of Peshawar is so rich and people so loving that they might sacrifice their everything to serve a visitor. It is known as the city of flowers. The best thing about Peshawar is Namak Mandi and its sumptuous food. Do not miss to try famous Charsi Tikka. The markets of Peshawar, GT road, The Bala Hisa Fort and innumerable historic places are found there. The oldest standing Buddha is to be found near Peshawar and so much else to cherish.
