Rachel Green
Rachel green is a fashion enthusiast. She is presented as a daddy’s girl and her father bears all her expenses. Later on, she moved to live with her school friend Monica and become independent. Rachel dated many boys in the series but in the end, she got married to Ross Geller.
Monica Geller
Monica has a bossy, competitive and obsessive nature. She is a perfectionist and known as mother hen or chef of the group. Monica got married to Chandler Bing in season seven and adopted twins at the end of the series.
Ross Geller
Ross Geller is the brother of Monica Geller and paleontologist by profession. He loves Monica from the beginning. Ross has three failed marriages in the series and his divorce becomes a joke in series.
Phoebe Buffay
She is a self-taught musician. Phoebe spent her life on the streets after her mother’s death, as she was a drug dealer and committed suicide. Phoebe’s personality is a mixture of weirdo and intelligent.
Chandler Bing
Chandler Bing is considered as joke machine in the series as he cracks jokes all the time. He is shy. Chandler is executive in the multinational corporation as a statistical analyst and he hates his jobs but he earns good money from it.

Joey Tribbiani is the playboy of the story. He is a food lover and actor by profession. He is innocent, caring and well-intentioned.
Plot:
It is about six friends who are struggling to find peace and happiness in life but this is not as straight forward. A spoiled brat Rachel Green living off her father's finance. She runs out on her wedding to start a new independent life and start living with her school friend Monica Geller, a cleanliness freak. Monica faces a lot of issues because of her loving life as she was teased by others in school life because of overweight. She works like a top chef in a restaurant. She loses all the extra weight and wants to start a family with the right guy. Monica’s older brother Ross Geller has strong feelings for Rachel. He is a professor and always teased by his other five friends due to his profession. Ross has experienced many misfortunes in life, including 3 divorces and bringing up a child with his lesbian ex-wife. Phobbe Buffay is an intelligent, weird and loveable girl who is grown up in streets without parents. She becomes a personal masseuse. She wants to become a star and bases her songs on life experiences. The other 5 friends secretly believe that Phoebe will never make it, but still encourage her to write. Chandler Bing a data processor and known for his sense of humor. Chandler is a wimpy, average looking cigarette addict, who has never had a serious relationship. Joey Tribiani Despite being close to all the friends, he is especially open with Chandler, who is also his roommate. Despite being a relatively bad actor, Joey is an adorable, sensitive guy, who is very successful with women but needs to become famous and rich to complete his successful life.
